Customizing your website | Themecloset Help

Updated March 20, 2026

Overview

Themecloset gives you two main ways to customize your site: visual theme controls and layout editing. Theme controls handle things like colors, typography, spacing, and reusable template options. Layout editing lets you directly add, reorder, and edit blocks on custom pages.

Start in the builder

  • Open Dashboard → Builder.
  • Select the page you want to update.
  • Use the left-side sections to switch between layout, SEO, navigation, and other settings.

Change colors, fonts, and spacing

Use the theme and template option panels to update your site-wide styling. These controls affect the active template across your site.

  • Colors: update background, text, accent, and border colors.
  • Fonts: choose body, heading, UI, and button fonts.
  • Spacing: adjust block gap, section padding, and content width.

Edit page layout

For custom pages, enter layout mode to work directly in the preview.

  • Add blocks such as text, image, button, divider, embed, and group.
  • Drag blocks to reorder them.
  • Click text blocks to edit inline.
  • Use the toolbar for headings, bold, italics, links, lists, and HTML view.

Navigation options

You can control how visitors move around your site from the navigation settings.

  • Choose which pages appear in navigation.
  • Turn on Serve Logo as Home if you want the logo/title to act as the Home link.
  • Add header and footer links for external pages like Instagram or a shop.

Preview before publishing

Use device preview controls and the live preview link to check spacing, text flow, and navigation before you publish changes.

Best practices

  • Keep heading styles consistent across pages.
  • Use short paragraphs for better readability on mobile.
  • Check image crops in both desktop and mobile preview.
  • Publish after major style changes so the live site matches the builder.

Troubleshooting

  • If a block looks different live than in preview, re-check template options and block spacing.
  • If navigation does not update, confirm the page is public and included in your menu.
  • If a change does not appear, refresh the preview or publish again.
